PingPeek uses the Android VPN Service API to create a local virtual network interface (tun interface) for intercepting, analyzing, and simulating network conditions entirely within your device.
This mechanism runs entirely locally and does not forward any traffic to external proxies or servers. The VPN permission is used solely to enable network simulation and traffic statistics features, and does not require root access.
All data is stored in your device's private app directory (protected by the Android sandbox) and is inaccessible to other apps. Data never leaves your device through any channel.
Local data is retained permanently on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the app.
PingPeek integrates Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring to help us improve app stability. These services may collect the following technical information:
This data is sent to Google's servers and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information (such as name, email, or location) is collected or transmitted through these services.
All locally stored data can be deleted by clearing the app data in your device settings or by uninstalling PingPeek. No account or server-side data exists that requires a separate deletion request.
This app is intended for general users and developers. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
